COLLABORATORS
Liana Kleinman is a dancer, choreographer, and filmmaker from Los Angeles, CA. She received her BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College with minors in Biology and Chemistry.
She has performed works by Merce Cunningham, Helder Seabra, Andrea Miller and Ronald K. Brown. In addition to her work with Futile Gestures, Liana is currently a company member with Soluq Dance Theater, The Movement Playground, and Christina Noel and the Creature.
In 2019, she was invited to The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity's residency, Preparing the Ground, under the direction of Medhi Walerski and Pierre Pontvianne, and curated by Emily Molnar.
As a filmmaker, Liana was honored to work as the video documentation intern at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival 2016, filming works for companies such as Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, ARIAS Company, and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet.

Dot Armstrong is a mover, maker, and writer from Minnesota. Dot’s work has appeared at The Dance Collective, Artefix NYC, Green Space, and HATCH Performance Series. She dances with/for Thea Little, Bryce Dance Company, Katerina Hajsterova, Andrea Haenggi, and Adriana Santoro.

Her writing appears on The Dance Enthusiast, Culturebot, and other online publications. Dot trained at the American Dance Festival, Movement Research, the Martha Graham School, and Joffrey Ballet Chicago and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Iowa with degrees in Dance Performance (BFA) and English (BA).

An avid dancer and sometime performer, Kyra Smith received her BFA from Goucher College, where she pursued degrees in Dance and Business Management, graduating Cum Laude. She has studied intensively around the globe, most notably at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy.
Her training stretches from ballet and contemporary movement to Graham, Horton, and Laban/Bartenieff techniques and has led her to creative ventures under the direction of various choreographers, including Iquail Shaheed, Jon Lehrer, Koresh Dance Company, Xan Burley + Alex Springer, and David Parsons.

Lea Torelli is a New-York-based dance artist and creator. As a graduate of Muhlenberg College, Lea has worked with resident artists such as Shapiro & Smith Dance, Jeffrey Peterson, and Teresa Van Denend Sorge. She has continued her training at the American Dance Festival, Accademia Dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy and b12 in Berlin, Germany.
Since moving to New York, Lea has been freelancing with various companies and artists including Marianela Boan, Svea Schneider, Josh Pacheco Dance Theatre, Caroline Olivia Ciferno, Deirdre towers, Beth Soll & Company, and Thea Little Performance. She is an active company member with Spaces of Fontana.
Her work has been shown at Triskelion Arts and Mark Morris Dance Group. When she is not dancing, Lea is an in-home Pilates Instructor.
